BOWLING.
THE NEW YEAR TOURNAMENT. Nineteen rinks have entered for the tournament which is being held on the three local greens on New Year's Day and January 2, under the auspices of the Taranaki Bowling Centre." These have been divided into three sections, one withseven rinks and two with six each. Provided early application is made to Mr. J. D. Sole, the centre is prepared to receive entries from two additional rink's. The section games will be of 111 heads, the semi-finals and finals to be of 21 heads.
