MATINEE AT THE EMPIRE TO-DAY. "THE END OF THE TOUR." A delightful programme is screening at the Empire at the matinee this afternoon and again to-night, the star picture being a quaintly humorous comedydrama, ''The End of tre Tour," in which Lionel Barrymore takes the leading role. A most interesting selection of pictures supports tlu; star item, prominent on the list being the eleventh episode of the "Secret of the Submarine" and further instalments of the "Rex Beach. Travel Series," There is also a Topical Gazette and a comedy scream, "He Fell on the Beach." SPECIAL MATINEE MONDAY. There will be a special matinee Monday (Christmas Eve) at 2 p.m., when the famous old English story, "Tom Brown's Schooldays" will he presented for the first time. This picture will also be screened at night and again on Christmas night and Boxing nisdit. BIG SERIES OF HOLIDAY ATTRACTIONS AT EVERYBODY'S. ROBERT WARWICK TO-DAY. The popular World film star, Robert Warwick, will be featured in a powerful dramatic triumph, "The False Friend" at Everybody's this afternoon at 2, and again to-night at 8. On the same, programme will 'be the sixth episode of the" "Iron Claw" serial. On Monday afternoon there will be a special matinee at 2 p.m. when the same programme will he repeated, and the final screening will take place on Monday night. TUESDAY—CHRISTMAS NIGHT. On Tuesday (Christmas night) there will be a benefit performance in aid of the Ngamotu Beautifying and Improvement Society, wheu the star picture will ha a splendid Blue Bird feature, "The Flame of Youth," in which Jack Mulhall takes the lead. This programme will also include a pretty dramatic study, "God and the Bahy." BOXING NIGHT. Another big attraction will be screened for Wednesday night in the form of a rollicking Triangle feature, "Madcap Madge," in which a new star, Olive Thomas, takes the leading part. The "Pyjiynfi Parades" are a feature, of "Madcap 'Madge" and the makers of this smart film claim tliat they made a "•round up" of the piclc of Californian beauty to make these scenes. On this programme there is also a screaming two-reel Keystone, "Cactus Nell." THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. On Thursday and Friday the programme will be headed by a big William Fox super-film, "The Price oFSilence," in which the leading part is taken by the favorite aetor William Famum.
