LAST NIGHT CP VIRGINIA PEARSON IN "THE BITTER" TRUTH" AT EVERYBODY'S. There was a crowded "house at Everyboily's last evening when the famous Fox actress Virginia Pearson was featuied in a big six-reel master film, "The Hitler Truth."—This- is an exceptionally •brilliant' picture and lias in support a line Triangle drama, "Blood will tell," in which the leading roles are token by William Desmond and Enid Markey. Tonight will be the final screening. TO-MORROW.' Commencing at the matinee to-morrow Robert Warwick will be featured in the fine World film drama, "The False Friend," This programme will also ininclude the sixth episode of the wonder serial, "The Iron Claw." A SPLENDID PICTORIAL SELECTION AT THE EMPIRE. i'he new programme screened at the Empire last ev-ening is up to the Tiigli standard set by this popular picture house. Prominent on the programme U the Metro comedy-drama, "The End o." (lie Tour," in which the versatile flctor Lionel Barrymore takes the lead. Briefly the story is as follows: Byron Bennett, affectionately known as 'Bnddv,'' is a barnstorming actor. His troupe is stranded in Mayville. With "Skinny," his property man, he arranges to give lessons in the drama to the volunteer firemen of the village. Grace Jessup, the village betiuty, is chosen as the leading woman of one "theatrical fire company." A travelling salesman makes a false promise of marriage to Grace; arranges to elope with her, and then boasts of his conquest to "Buddy." The young actor halts the elopers and is unjustly suspected by Col. Jessup, the girl's fatVr, who shoots him, then finds that "Buddy" is his own son, who was taken away from him years ago when his wife Hod from him because of his cruelty. The climax of the story is one that grips the heart and arouses deep admiration for "Buddy" who sacrificed himself to save his own sister—and yet did not know she WRB his sister. There is an excellent supporting list including the "Secret of the Submarine," the "Rex Beach Travel Scries." a Topical ftazette and a humorous comedy. The full programme will be repeated to-night, at the matinee tomorrow, and again to-morrow night.
