WAITARA DEFEATS FIT2ROY. A match in aid of the patriotic funds was played at Waitara yesterday between Fitzroy and Waitara. under ideal weather conditions. The green was somewhat bumpy in parts, but an enjoyable time was spent by the visitors, though they were defeated by 22 points in the aggregate. Waitara again maintained its reputation for hospitality, which was duly appreciated. Following are the scores, Fitzroy being mentioned tirst at each rink: ' Price, Gillespie. In excellent bowling weather a match between New Plymouth and West End took place yesterday at Weft End, when after an enjoyable game the visitors were defeated by 24 points.
