IMPERIAL SUPPLIES By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Prime Minister stated to-day that total payments by the Imperial Supplies Department, on account of the Imperial Government, for produce purchased in New Zealand up to December 15, amounted to £42,158,224.

A DECISION UPHELD. Last Night. Mr. Justice Edwards to-day gave reserved decision in the ease in which Jean McWhirter, barmaid, of the Grand Hotel, sought to have quashed a conviction for permitting shouting. The judge held that the conviction was in order, and the molion was dismissed. Costs were not sought. CENSUS OP CEREAL STOCKS. Wellington, Last Night, A census of the stocks of flour, wheat and oats shows that on November 30 there were in the Dominion 7027 tons of flour, 428,038 bushels of threshed milling wheat, 1,163,454 bushels of threshed oats. There were 1875$ tons of flour, 87,034 bushels of wheat and 157,825 bushels of oats held in the Auckland, Hawke's Bay and Taranaki provinces; 1061, 1893, 07,785 in Wellington; 87, 4021, 5583 in Marlborough, Nelson and Westland; 3789, 209,003, 278,321 in Canterbury; 814J, 85,487, 053/JJfl in Otago and Southland. INTERNMENT OF ENEMY SUBJECTS Wellington, Last Night. A meeting of the Wellington Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association carried unanimously: "That this meeting urges the National Government to intern all enemy subjects now in our midst, whether naturalised or unnaturalised, with the object of repressing the enemy's influence." THE PRICE OF BUTTER Wellington, Last Night. Butter merchants have made representations to tlio Government regarding the price of the butter in the local market, it having been suggested that the retention of the prsent maximum price might (bring about- a shortage o'f supplies for home but a reply has been given, it is stated, that the*local price must not be increased. This is inferred to mean that the Government is prepared, if necessary, to include supplies for local consumption in the requisition scheme.
