The weather last evening was decidedly unfavorable for the repeat performance of "Soot and the Fairies" by scholars attending the school. The attendance under the circumstances was very .:ood. BuvJett. This morning the school broke up for the usual six weeks summer holidays. Beforo dispersal the headmaster, Mr. Tyrer, on behalf of the teachers, presented Miss Terry, M.Sc., with a lady's hand-bag. In making the presentation, hp stated that Miss Terry was leaving to take up a position with the Auckland Grammar School. All were pleased to note Miss Terry's success, and deeply regretted losing her services to the Stratford school. The gift in a way would serve to remind, her of her two years association with the school. Mr. Thomas replied on behalf of Miss Terry, for whom cheers were given, an extra one for Mr. Tyrer concluding the ceremony. T. LAMASOX'S. WEEKLY REPORT. Last Saturday our usual weekly sale was held, when we had a very good entry of poultry. Competition was very keen.
