CROQUET.
NEW .PLYMOUTH CLUB. The ladies of New Plymouth Croquet Chtb held a very successful progressive croquet tournament on Saturday afternoon, in aid of tie Red Cross' funds. There were in all fourteen players, and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent. A prize for the winner of the tournament was offered by Miss Rennell. Each ■ player was allowed three turns, the ttoie allowed for eacli being twenty minutes. Some very interesting games were played, but when the dinal scores were counted it was found that Miss Norman's position was not seriously challenged, she having a lead of six points over her nearest rival (Mrs. Dowling), the Bcores being 53 and 47 respectively.
