MOTOR-CYCLIST LXJURKD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dec. 17. Frank Easton met with a serious accident while cycling down the Ngahauranga Gorge last night. Th* chain came off the machine, which ran into the bank. Easton was badly injured about the head and wa& picked up by a motor lorry, which also ran into the bank through engine trouble, though no one else was hurt. Easton was finally taken to the hospital and is still unconscious. SUICIDE IN CAMP. Wellington, Dec. 17. Corporal Percy S. Hobbs, who is in charge of the Post Office at Papawai Camp, was found dead in the office on Saturday with a pea. rifle between his knees and a bullet wound in his forehead.. He was twenty years of age. SUDDEN DEATH, Christchurch, Dec. 17. Edward Kennedy died suddenly on Saturday in the consulting room of a local doctor whom he was about to consuit. Deceased was well known in labor circles, especially as secretary of the Shearers' 'Union. KILLED BY HORSE'S KICK. Invercargill, Dec. 17. Albert Woods, aged~ten years, while endeavoring to head off horses from the road to a paddock at Myross, was kicked in the region of the heart and died in twenty mjnutes.
