The Patriotic Committee have provided a tent floored, and equipped with up-to-date stretchers and sleeping bags at MA. Egmont for our returned soldiers needing a rest and change of air. Meals are obtainable at the hostel and the Mayoress' committee are stocking a locker with food extras. A donation of £1 has been received from Mrs. Arabury for car fare. It is hoped our soldiers will make good use of this chance to visit the mountain during the summer.

_ The camisole competition at the patriotic, rooms was won by Mrs. McCleland. Mrs. Burgess wishes to thank the Bell Block Dairy Factory and Mr. Gibson for benzine cases.

Christmas hampers have been forwarded from the patriotic depot to Rotorua, Trentham and Featheraton, ten cases to transports marked comforts on voyage, 1030 parcels to France and Egypt, also posted parcels to Mesopotamia ,and £SO has been cabled to Lieutenant-Colonel Weston as a Christmas gift for extra comforts for the men.
