At the annual meeting of the Kauri Timber Company the chairman stated that the profits showed considerable improvement over the preceding year, and the liabilities showed a reduction of £34290 after three years war, and lower than tbey had ever been. The war Italia on New Zealand made it difficult to obtain suitable labor to carry on bush -work to tbe extent desired, and the uncertainty regarding freight rendered it difficult to fix contracts.
