> CAILLAUX'S TREACHERY. v .OUTLINE OF OPERATIONS. Paris, Dec. 13. A letter from the Military Governor
arraigning M. Caillaux-states that numerous' letters from M. Caillaux were jfound at the residences of 8010 and others. He continued to correspond With 'Bolo after the latter had been Charged with treason. M. Caillaux went to R(ue in November, 1916, with a false passport, and entered into relations with well-known Gernanophiles, three of whom have since been arrested. Jn i conversation at Rome, in the -presence of " important personages, M. Caillatfx declared that France would be unable to continue the war beyond the faring of 1917, when he would resume Anise and sign peace, therefore Italy night prepare to make a separate peace with Germany, who would grant Italy and France astonishing advantages as ißussia and the Balkans would pay all their war expenditure, Serbia and Roumania would disappear, as they deserved. The Governor, commenting, 6ays:— "Apparently M. Caillaux'B idea was the conclusion of an alliance after the war between France, Germany, Spain and Italy against; Britain and Russia, whom M. Cailhvux . referred to as our real encrnias." The Governor adds: "The facts revealed justify the suspicion that M. Caillaux Worked for the destruction of our alliances, and thus seconded the progress of enemy aims."
