m> . PAYMEVT OF TEACHERS ' AND ST A MING OF SCHOOLS GRANTS TO COMMITTEES By Telegraph.—Press Association. Vvellington, Last Night. Amendments of the regulations for the payment of teachers and stafllng of schools ' are gazetted. Under . these amendments education boards may appoint as temporary teachers uncertificated or unlicensed persons, but such appointments shall not continue for more than six months after the termination of the war. It is declared lawful for education boards to appoint permanently to vacant positions certificated members of th» Expeditionary Force, although they have not applied for such positions. The regulations provide for supplementary grants to school committees for ta» cidental expenses during the War.
