CLOSING OFFICES FOR CHRISTMAS VACATION. (Special to Daily News).. Wellington, Last Night. The following notification has been re' ceived from the .Minister of Defence:. Advantage is being taken of the fact that all training camps are being closed down over the Christmas and New Year holidays, to give the staffs of the various branches of the Defence Department concerned with the administration of the Military Service,Act,a much needed vacation. It has, been arranged that the Military Service Board*, the District Medical Boards, the military registration branch, and ths soldiers' fin* ancial assistance branch will close down* from December 22 until January 7, thn? being the vacation period for the soldiers in the training .camps'.
