The course and all the appointments are in good order, and an excellent day's sport may be looked for. TURF TOPICS. (By "Moturoa."} Tauherenikau to-day. Taranaki acceptances to-morrow. Black Hill is coming on fast now. 'Devotion is the fittest noddy racing at Tauherenikau. J. O'Shea will probably ride Multifual and Hymestra at Auckland. Chimera has been knocking at the door lately, and seems due for a 1 win. Desert Gold and Est land have been galloping well at Woodvillc, and should strip well at the end of the montli. To dissolve a partnership Colonel Soult went up to auction on Friday, and fell to the bid of Air. J Gleeson, the partner who ma<le hmiself unpopular over the Uncle Ned incident at Tnkapuna. Nanria has developed into a regular flying machine, and her fortunate owner should add further to his capital at any moment. Those who anticipate backing Lingerie at Auckland should not be in too much of a hurry. The filly is engaged in the Manawatu Stakes, and will" probably start at Awapuni in preference to Idlerslie. Deeley wijl ride Elocution in the Railway Handicap, and' Gray will be on Simonidcs.
