EMMY WEHLEN AT THE EMPIRE. "THE DUCHESS~OF DOUBT," A "METRO." The popular Metro star, Emmy WehU'li, who created such a profound impression by her splendid portrayal in "Sowers and Reaper?'' a few weeks hack at The Empire will again be featured tonight in the five-reel "Metro" photoplay ''The Duchess of Doubt?' In this picture sfio takes the part of a poor girl who yearns for some sort of fame, ..Inheriting a few thousands, the girl goes to a famous winter resoit, and there is mistaken for a duchess. She lives up to by looking pretty and wearing pretty clothes. A strong love story runs through the play, which is ably presented by an admirable cast. Society people of several large American cities appear in the support of Emmy Wohlcn. Many of the scenes for this comedy drama of the screen were made in famous winter resorts of Florida, at Palm Beach, St. Ausust.Tftc and Jacksonville, end guests at the fashionable hotels showed the greatest interest in "the production. Many of thsin acted as people" in tho great, ball-room scene, and in other scenes where ensembles are used, and thev have added much to the distinction of manv of the scenes in "The Duchess of Doubt." A sensational situation follows, wherein the villain is found out and defeated by Morley. The acting throughout is powerful and the seem ry is original. Of "The Rasped Princess" little need he 9aid, except that it is a typical June Caprice picture and absolutely hubhies over with youthful good will and the jov of life. It is oho of those pictures that makes everyone feel youthful and provides not only an evening's entertainment but a tonic also.
