ELTHAM.

Owing to being- engaged as witnesses in the Eltliam burglary eases-at New Plymouth to-day, Constable Dudey, of X'orm.in'r.r, represented: this police, at, tbo licensing meeting, instead of Constable Townsend. Mr. G. W. .Bennett, stationmaster, is also out of town, being required as a. witness in -tlio same ease. Mr. W, C. Clement, Eltliam, has been elected to the position 011 the Licensing Committee, vie? W. C. Dudley, deceased. On the motion of Mr. Parrott, seconded by Mr. Christie, a rote of condolence was pased to the relatives of the late member.
