ENTERTAINMENTS.
A BLUE-BIRD FEATURE AT EVEUYBODY'S. "WHAT LOVE CAN DO." A complete change of programme will be screened at Everybody's for to-night and to-morrow, the principal attraction being a Blue-bird photoplay, "What Love Can Do,'' a five-reel masterpiece of suspense and realism introducing a number of new photoplay artists. The story deals with both Eastern and Western life and the never ending war between capital and labor provide many scenes of thrilling interest. The leading character is played by Adele Farrington, an artist who will soon rise to a high position among photoplay favorites. There is a splendid supporting list, including a Topical Budget and a one-reel comedy and short dramatic study. COMING THURSDAY. Another magnificent programme will be screened next Thursday when George Walsh, the famous Fox artist who created such a profound impression by his character in the William Fox feature, "The Beast," a short time back at the Empire, will he seen in another Fox photoplay, "The Mediator," a thrilling picturisation of the world-famous hook by Roy Norton. On the same programme sweet Bessie Barriscale will star in a Triangle feature, "Bawbs 0' Blue Ridge," the brilliant story of a little mountain girl who lives close to nature.
WILLIAM'S. HAST AT THE EMPIRE 'AS "WOLF LOWRY."
An excellent programme can foe seen *t the Empire' to-night where the principal picture is a Triangle Western drama entitled "Wolf Lowry," with Wm. S. Hart in the leading role. Tom Lowry, the owner of the Bar 7. ranch, is a strong grim, silent man, quick with his gun, terrible' in his wrath, and a bitter and implacable enemy, There is only one fly In his ointment. A settler has dared to take up a claim in the valley, and when the news is brought to Tom he immediately sets off for the cabin to drive the intruder out of the country. He is stunned when he meets the \\- trader and finds that she is the prettiest and sweetest girl he has ever seen. They quickly become friends, and she brings a softening influence into his grim life. Buck Fanning, a deigning real) estate agent, also has his eye on the girl, and is interrupted in a violent love scene hv Howry 'who throws him out. Through such situations as these the strong character "of Lowry is brought out up to the final scene when he makes his great sacrifice fdr the girl, who has coma to mean «verythmg to him/ The picture is admirably told and really Well worth seeing. The supportinsr items are very good, and help to complete a firstclass Programme.
