The 'big fire scene in "Maternity," the new World picture, in which Alice Brady appears for the last time to-night at Everybody's, was filmed at dead of night, and makes one of the greatest achievements of studio artistry ever recorded on the screen. Fierce ilames flash into the darkness, and there are some wonderful light effects upon the faces and figures moving amongst the burning walls and passages of the building. The story describes a woman's fantastic fear of motherhood, and the manner in which a little child awakens her to a sense of life's responsibilities. COSTS BUT A TRIPLE.
