Mr. M'Adoo, in a Thanksgiving Day message, says that in the chaos of civilisation the -weight of America was needed to tip the scale in favor of freedom and democracy. The Kaiser, for two years, secretly and subtly plotted to destroy America. We must rid the world of Kaiserism, which is restricting freedom and national integrity. NAVY RECRUITED~FROM MERCHANTMEN. Washington, Nov. 29. Tn order most effectively to combat submarines, the navy will operate with merchantmen, enlisting the present crews whenever possible. PLANS FOR THREE YEARS' WAR. New York, Nov. 29. High officials state that America's war plans are on the basis of three more years of war.
