Spring Meeting, which takes place on Saturday, promises excellent sport. Fine, dry weather has been experienced at Feilding during the past fortnight, and the course should be in good order. The Feilding Cup appears to have punters guessing, and whether Chortle, Snub or Nobleman will start favorite, remains to be, seen. The Flying Stake* is also regarded as very open. Nystad, Crowhurst, Carlysian, Inali and Nanna all have supporters, and it should be one of the best speculative races of the day. Acre, Lingerie, and Birkenrale are all likely to run well in the Feilding Stakes, though the touts rather ambiguously whisper, ''They don't know how good Acre really io yet!" Apart from Acre the Tilley. tpatn is p. strong one on paper, and Rude and Arrowfield particularly are nicely treated in their ensasement/
