ISir Douglas" Haig reports: The fighting in and About Bourlon Wood continues yesterday night with great stubboraness on both sides. The enemy counter-attacks', on Friday night forced us back from Bourlon village, which we entered m our first advance. Further eastward a powerful enemy kttack preMtd us back a short distance on the hill in Bourlon ivood. Our coun-ter-attacks later ifc the morning drove the enemy fro® the hill, and before midday our line was re-established on the northern edge of Bourlon Wood. At dusk the enemy again attacked with strong forces from the north-east, forcing us back slightly north-eastern corner of the yooi. We again attacked early in the night and re-entered Bourlon village, capturing it after a fierce Struggle. '■ Paris, Nov. 25. iTie (Petit Pariaien states that only Isolated Germans remain hidden in underground shelters in a partion of Bourlon Wood. The tanks smashed all obstacles. Although a few tanks were canght at point-blank Tange and destroyed, the remainder smashed the gun Carriages, mowing down the gunners. FRENCH REPULSE GERMAN ATTACKS. London, Nov. 25. A French communique states:—After a violent bombardment the Germans made partial attacks at various points on the right bank of the Ifeuse, especially north of Hill 344, where a lively grenade light ended in our favor, the enemy suffering appreciable losses without result. We took sofne prisoners. Our fire prevented the enemy reaching our lines at Beaumont and in the Chaume Wood.
