ENTERTAINMENTS.

A GREAT PROGRAMME At EVERYBODY'S.

There was a good attendance at this popular picture house at both sessions on Saturday: The chief attraction was | the screening of "Moral Courage," in which Muriel Ostriche takes the part of the heroine. The outstanding feature of the picture is the courage displayed by a woman, who overcomes- all obstacles in spite of tremendous difficulties. Paid by a millionaire the sum of 100,000 dol lars to divorce Mb son, she causes much sensation when she remarries her divorced husiband. The scenes throughout are realistic and convincing, and pretty Muriel Ostriche is seen to great advantage. The third chapter of "The Iron Claw" was shown, and held the interest of the audience with a grip as powerful as the title of the master serial. Tonight will be the final screening of the programme. A BIG SUCCESS AT THE EMPIRE. "GOD'S MAN-AND THE WOMAN." One of the screen achievements of the year is found in "God's Man," the Frohman super-feature Ibeing screened at the Empire to-night Rnd following two nights. It is a picturisation of G. B. Howard's powerful novel attacking the evils of modern -life, and the uniquely strong cast is headed by H. B. Warner. The latter gives a perfect portrayal of the storm-tossed central character, who finds that his every effort to do right leads him further into danger. After a succession of evil happenings he sinks into the under-world, and there, tortured and in despair, he decides to serv« Mammon. He then becomes entangled in the opium traffic, which is being run by some apparently respectable citizens of New York. The interest of the plot is tensely gripping, and the love story is full of deep emotional scenes. The'hie; cast is wry even, and the production is marked by the very highest standard of photography and setting. Money was like water to ensure a supreme masterpiece, and the drama is one that will ihavo few peers this year. The programme includes an interesting number of the Pathe Gaswtte.
