From Our Own Correspondent. Inglewood, Xov. 22. A special meeting of the Borough Council was held on Wednesday evening to consider the report of Mr. Crookes, consulting engineer, on the new electric light scheme. After (fiscussing the matter, it was agreed that the. report of tlie Electric Light Committee he adopted, and that they lie a committee to report fully on the matter at the next meeting of the council. The Boy Scouts arc having a cfmrclf parade on Sunday ncxty. and, weather ■permitting, a full attendance is assured. There is likely to he very keen interest taken in swimming J,iiis year. A swimming club has Von formed, and arrangements are liliolv to he made for a. visit of the Life' Saving Society to the baths on the opening day, December 6. A very old identity, in the person of Mr. A. Jensen, passed away at his residence on the Norfolk Road on Tuesday last, in his 81st year. The late Mr. ■Tcnscn was one of the pioneers of the district, having been hete about 41? years, taking up land on his arrival and following up farming the whole of the (ime. The school committee has applied "for additions to the school. At present the school is overcrowded, and one of the classes haR to be held in the technical school. There has been an jncrease of over twenty pupils during the last few months. The Tied Cross Mart will be open to- 1 morrow, and will be conducted by the Tngleivood ladles.
