WHITELEY SUNDAY SCHOOL.
BAZAAR AND CONCERT For some weeks past Methodist .Sunday school and church workers have busy getting together goods, and making arrangements for a bazaar and concert in the VVliiteley J fail, to raise Innds for the renovation and repair of the school buildings The bazaar was opened yesterday afternoon by the .Mayoress (Mrs C. H. Burgess), and although the weather was unfavorable, the hall was well fdled, and good business was done at the stalls. The 'hall was very gaily decorated with bunting, (lower? and greenery, and streamers and drapings of red, white and bine, the plentiful stock of goods of all sorts being set out to best advantage 011 the. half-dozen stalls erected round the hall. The following' are tile stall-holders: Produce and jumble. —Mrs. Griffin and Miss Short. Plain and fancy.—Mrs. Sinclair afid Miss Ilodder. Flower.—Misses Mawkes and Watterson, Sweets.—Misses Carter and Chatterton. fee creams.—Misses White (2), Short and Mr. Harris, Handkerchiefs and D'Oylev.—Miss Kdna. White. Afternoon Tea and Supper.—Mrs. Ci. H. White, and Young Women's Bible Class. Mrs. Tintler very kindly supplied the cream for iees. Hood business was done in the evening. and the demand at some of the stalls was so brisk that reserve stocks had to be drawn 011 very early in the evening. This evening the doors will open at 7 o'clock, nnil at eight a well selected programme of songs, glees, national items in eharecter, and instrumental numbers will be given.
