Motor Word has just come to hand that tliß U.S.A. Government has placed an initial order with theHendee Manufacturing Co. for 3500 "Indian" motorcycles for immediate delivery, and that further quantities re—'-"» —<» range 'over 10,000 "Indian" maeh iiies. This is in spite of the fact that the "Indian" Wd made to the Govjrnment was considerably higher than the pricr? tendered by any other concern. The only other order placed by the Government was one for 1500 machines. The fact that the U.S.A. Government hag an Advisory Board, including such, experts as Tlios. A. Edison and Howard B. Coffin dealing with such matters as these makes this piece of; business a distinct feather in the cap of tho Hcndee Co. It is conclusive proof that the "Indian" is the soundest proposition on tho motor market, irrespective of price. As agents for "Indian" Motor-cyclej, it.gives us pleasure, in passing on this piece of information to prospective- jbuyers^ Uncle Sam is in deadly earnest over the great war, and tlie merit* it the "Indian"' Powerpluss 'Motor-cycle must have appea'MSd'-jfery strongty to these eminent Government experts to induce themHc\give it practically a solus position in the tinny of the-U.S.A ■'..: ' s SPEDBING'S GARAGE; hV.... .
