ELECTRIC LIGHTING CHARGES. £N PURSUANCE of the provisions of Tho Municipal Corporations Act, 100S, and of all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling the New Plymouth Borough Council has fixed the following prices at which electricity shall be .supplied to all private consumers: (a) HOUSE LIGHTING Eightponce per unit,, subject to a discount of twopence per unit on all units after the first three units consumed. Minimum charge 2/6, subject to a discount of fid. (b) SHOP AND OFFICE LIGHTING, including warehouses and all premises not used for purely residential purposes, Nine pence per unit, subject to a discount of twopence per unit on all units after the first three units consumed. Minimum charge 2/6 subject to a discount of sixpence. (c) HEATING AND COOKING: Three pence per unit, subject to a discount of one penny per unit after the first six units consumed up to fifty units, and a discount of two pence per unit on all units above fifty units consumed. Minimum charge 2/fi subject to a discount of Oil. iij POWER: Three pence per unit, subject to a discount (with the exception of the first six units) of one penny per unit for first fifty, units per horse power per month, and on the remainder a discount qf two pence per unit. There shall be no discount, however, upon the first six units consumed. Minimum 2/- gross on, filrst horsepower, and 1/G gross per horsepower for each additional horsep.ower after the first. Net 1/G on the first horsepower and 1/- per horsepower for each additional horsepower after the first. No power shall be consumed between the hours of 5 p.m. and 12 midnight, except by special arrangement with the Council, (e) Arrangements may be made by contract for prices for any consumption between specified hours or where in the opinion of the Council special circumstances cxUt, or where t1..: consumer is prepared to give a guarantee of a specified minimum consumption. The whole of the above charges shull be subject to the express condition that no discount will be allowed unless the amount ' the charge, together with arrears (if any) be paid during office hours within fourteen days from date of rendering a correct account.
