AWARD OF MILITARY CROSSES.

TARA.NAKI RECIPIENTS. Amongst those who have recently won Military Crosses are the followingTaraunki ollieers: Lieut. Robert Wood, of Stratford, Ist Battalion, Wellington Regiment—"During an attack which was held up by a machine-gun he led his men with great, determination and skill, and captured the gun and twenty prisoners. Later, with his platoon reduced to twelve men, he continued to advance upon a number of enemy who were resisting in shellholes, killing 50 of them and driving ofi' the remainder. His gallantry and energy ha\e at all times beenvnost marked." Second-Lieutenant Atbol Ttiehard MeIsaac, Ist Battalion, Wellington Regiment, sou of Mr. W. R. Mclsaac. New •Plymouth: "He worked with most untiring energy and determination for :1 days when in charge of a carrying party whose duty it was to keep his battalion supplied with material from the brigade dump. Tt.was necessary to make eaeli trip under very heavy shell fire, and it was due to his fine personal example that the supply was maintained."
