Government has placed an initial order with the.Hendec Manufacturing Co. for 3000 "Indian" motorcycles for immediate delivery, and that further quantities required will range lover 10,000 "Indian" machines. I This is in spite of the fact that the "Indian" bid made to the Government was considerably higher than the price tendered by any other concern. ,Tho only other order placed by' the Government was one for 1500 machines. The fact that the U.S.A. Government has an Advisory Board, including such experts as Thos. A. Edison and Howard E. Coffin dealing with such matters as these makes this pifco .of business a distinct feather in the cap of the Hendee Co. It ;s .ionctasive proof that the "Indian" is the soundest proposition on the motor market, irrespective of price.
