ON THE SEA.
THE HELIGOLAND OPERATIONS. ENEMY VESSELS CHASED. ONE ON FIRE, ANOTHER DAMAGED. London, Nov. 18. The Admiralty reports that it has no further information regarding the Heligoland Bight operations beyond the fact that the enemy's light cruisers were, chased to within thirty miles of Heligoland aud until they were under the protection of the battle fleet and minefields. When we retired, an enemy light cruiser was seen to be on fire and the machinery of another appeared to be damaged, An enemy miac-sweeper was sunk. We had no losses and only slight damage to the ships. The casualties wqre slight. TWO HOURS' CANNONADE. CONCUSSION BREAKS WINDOWS. Received Nov. 19, 5.5 p.m. Copenhagen, Nov. 18. The naval cannonade was heard for two hours. The concussion broke the windows in coastal towns. GERMAN VERSION 7 OF ENGAGEMENT London, Nov. IS. A (Herman naval communique states: Strong British naval force;; attempted to break into the German Bi;;ht on the morning of the 17th. Our guards-hips located thenj on the line Horns UeefTerschelling, and an immediate counti*thrust by ~ our advanced fofees repulsed them easily, We had no losses.
