On Friday, November 2, we held our usual sale in our Te Went yards. Bidding was not so regular as recently, but we quitted most line* at satisfactory prices. Store cows, light £5 17s to £6 12s Od, £ll for good, empty heifers £7 5s to £7 10,?, yearling steers £5 5s to £0 10s, yearling heifers £4 14s to £5 2s lid, hulls £7, £lO to £2O. Next sale November 30.
On Thursday, November 8, we held our usual monthly sale in our Kolmratahi yards. Owing to wet Weather all the stock advertised was not yarded. Bidding was dull, but satisfactory prices Were reached for stock quitted. Yearling heifers £5 Is, yearling Mills £0 15s, shorn wethers 30s, dry ewes 32s fid. On Tuesday, November 13, we held our usual fortnightly sale in our Stratford yards. Dairy cows and springing heifers sold at satisfactory rates, but store cattle, showed a marked easing m values, and some lines failed to reach reserves. Store cows £S 2s, vearling heifers £4 lis fid to £O, bulls £«to £ll 15s. Dairy yards: Springing heifers £l2 5s to £l4, calved heifers £lO to £l4 "s Gd, springing and calved cows £ll 12° (id to £ls as, old cows and 3-tcaters £7 5s to £9 15s. Next sale on November 27. at 1 p.m.

Demand has not been keen, but the undermentioned linos were sold to- South Taranaki buyers: Store cows £!) to £9 12s Od, yearling steers £7 10s to £9 2s Gd, empty heifers £7 5s to £8 10s, bulls lOgns to 22gns, shorn wethers 305,» shorn fat and forward ewes 27s Od.
BURXSIDK. Duncdin, November 14. At Burnside there were Wore entries of fat cattle. The quality was exceptionally good. The entry exceeded requirements, and prices declined 10s. to las a head. Extra prime bullocks "£2B 10.?, prime £2O to £23 10s, medium £l7 to £l9 ss, light £l3 to £lO, prime cows and heifers £ls 10s to £lO 2s Od, medium £l3 10s to £l4 15s, light £lO 5s to £l2 2s fid. The number of sheep penned was 1771. The quality was very good. Extra heavy wethers were in keen demand at last week's rates, but ewes and medium wethers declined Is a head. Extra prime wethers COs fld, prime 51s to 50s, medium 47s to 40s Od, light 40s to 4fis lid, extra prime ewes 5Ss, prime 45s to 40s, others 355, few shorn wethers 455, others 32s to 475. There were 00 lambs penned. The quality was very fair. The entry was equal to butchers' requirements. Prime 20s to 28s fid, others 23s to 235. There was a large yarding of pigs. •For fats prices were easier. Stores were in short supply, and last week's extr?nic prices were exceeded.
