BISHOP AVERILL'S VISIT.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR NEXT WEEK'S ROUND. Since arriving in New Plymouth, a little over a week ago, Bishop Averill has had ti busy time visiting parishes in the Taranaki portion of his diocese, and the proposed round for the coming week is also a very -heavy one. To-day, accompanied by Archdeacon Evans, he goes to Waitara, where on Sunday morning there will be a celebration of the Holy Communion at 8 o'clock. The Bishop will preach at the 11 o'clock service at Lepperton, and. then at 2.30 at Tikorangi, returning to Waitara for the 7 o'clock service. On Monday there will be a service among the Maoris at Waitara at 10.30 a.m., and the party afterwards goes on to Urenui for a service there at 2.30. Pukearuhe will be visited on Tuesday afternoon, and Uruti in the evening. Wednesday, afternoon Okau, evening Tongaporutll; Thursday, afternoon Mokau, evening Awakino. On Friday Piko will be visited at 2 o'clock, and Saturday will be occupied with the return to New Plymouth. On Sunday the bishop will preach at Rahotu at the 11 o'clock service, at Okato at 2.30, and at Warea at 7.30. At St. Mary's Church. New Plymouth; on Tuesday, the 27th inst., at 7.30 p.m., some 110 candidates will be presented to the bißhop for confirmation. On Friday, November 30, St. Andrew's Day, Dr. Averill will conduct a service at'lnglewood at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, December 2, Advent Sunday and the 72nd anniversary of St. Mary's Church, the bishop will celebrate at 8 a.m., and he will also, preach at evensong at 7 p.m. His Lordship conducts the 11 o'clock service at Tc Henui on that day, and the preacher at the corresponding service at St. Mary's will be the vicar of Hawera (Rev. Gfant-Cowan). It is hoped to pay off the debt on the church during the Dedication Festival, which will be concluded with a service of sacred music by the choir on Tuesday, December 4. On Monday, the 3rd proximo, the Te Henui confirmation takes place at 7.30 p.m., and on the following day, Tuesday, December 4, Dr. Averill returns to Auckland.
