FIRE AT AUCKLAND.

NATHAN'S WAREHOUSE DAMAGED. By Telegraph.—Press Aasociatioa Auckland, Nov. lfi. A fire was discovered et one o'clock this morning in the top storey of L. D. Nathan and Co.'s warehouse, High street. It was extinguished at 2 a.m., after the top storey had been guued. The fire did not extend downwards, but stock valued at many thousands of pounds suffered extensively from watrr. The building and stock were insured for a large sum in various offices. The damage is very heavy, but it n impossible to give any estimate. The whole of the stock on the lower floors is soaked with water. It includes a large quantity of perishable goods. The imrarances are: Building £22,500, stock £55,000, plant £l24s—total £78,500, all in the United office. r \ The fire originated in the bottling and packing department on the top floor. Its origin is a mystery.
