BOWLING.

| OPENING OF INGLEWOOD GREEN. ! From Our Own Correspondent. November, 15. There was a very large attendance at the bowling green to-day for the opening of the season. Visitors were present from New Plymouth, Fitzroy, West End, Stratford, Waitara, Eltham, and Okato. The weather was all that could be desired, and the greens were in excellent order.

Tlie president (Mr. Leslie)'welcomed the visitors and mentioned that the season had not been opened in Inglowood as early as in other towns, but he trusted that the visitors would have a pleasant afternoon. He then called on Mrs. Leslie to throw the jack, after which the President, v. Vice-President teams took the green, and a most pleasant afternoon's bowling was experienced. A most enjoyable afternoon tea was provided by the members' wives and served by Mesdames Leslie, Wilson, Coldwcll, Spurdle, Pullen, and Miss N. Wilson.
