In making a, comparison with October of last year, the receipts show an increase of £.iVi ISs 2d, and the additional passengers carried are fioTA. The increase is not so large as I expected, and from a general observation I have noticed that the traffic in the town has not increased to any extent, as compared with the winter months. For this reason I have made no recommendation to the Council re, the starting of the summer timetable, as it would only moan the heaping up of idle mileage and increased wages, without the corresponding increase in revenue.
