THE ROSE SHOW.

Tlie outlook for St. Mary's Rose Show to-day in exceedingly bright and everything joints to its being a highly successful one. The interest evinced in the project, and Ihe demands for space from private growers point clearly to the fact, that the "Queen of Flowers'' is truly preeminent in tlie .hearts of the people of this district. From the list, of ''private" displays promised, such names as Messrs. C. Goodson (Hawera), S. \V. Shaw, Newton King, H. King, J. Freethey. A. Crookc, D'Arcy Robertson, C. ¥.." Bellringer, .and. Mosdames T. C, List, T. Scanlpn, H. Weston, 15. A. Walker. A. tira)', K. Kllcrm, and .r. Wheeler may be quoted as an indication that a royal feast is .in. store for the flower lovers who will be thronging the show to-mor-row and Friday. Rose-clad arches, hanging baskets and graceful foliage will go to make up an effect that, will at once be a feature of the show, and an appropriate setting for the wealth of bloom. The attention of visitors on this evening is also drawn to tlie musical programme which has been arranged. Mrs Movcrley's orchestra, consisting of pianist, Ist and 2nd violin, cornet, concert tenor horn and drums, will provide music throughout the evening, while St. Mary's choir will give two part songs entitled, "My True Love Hath my Heart" and "Goodnight, thou Glorious Sun."
