STRATFORD A. & P. ASSOCIATION.
ENTRIES CLOSE 17TH. INST. The entries for the butterfat competition closed 011 the 10th inst., and the result is that 31 cows will compete in this class, comprising cows from Urenui, Kapongn, Kapuni, Toko, and intermediate districts. Arrangements are well in hand to have competing cows .milked under supervision on the owners' farms. The milk is weighed and taken for. testing. The cows thus will not be disturbed and the best _butterfat producer will win. Entries for horses, cattle, and other classes, are coming in very freely and it is evident that the entries will be up to previous years. Stock owners must remember the closing date, viz.. I7lh inst., and they should also consider the fact that Stratford offers the only opportunity to exhibit stock at an A. and P. Show, in Taranaki this spring.
