CARDIFF
(From Our Own Correspondent). _ Judging by the present blocked condition of the cool store at the breakwater, the Cardiff cheese factory wi'll experience eoiisidrable difficulty in storing and shipping their ohtput for this season. Hitherto, owing to tlie class of produce, Taranaki has been, very fortunate in being able to ship it awav, but as the war drags on increased difficulties in this direction can only be expected. The school committee 'held their monthly meeting last Monday., The headmasters report was read and considered, and general business was transacted. -tl was decided to obtain , labor to erect another woodshed in place of the , one wrecked by the wind, Mr. G. W. Marchant, who was lately incapacitated through a trap accident thereby receiving a fractured skull and consequent concussion of the brain, has so far reovered as to be able to leave his bed. It is to be hoped he will soon be about as usual. The pasture and crops in this district are looking well this season, .but owing 'to almost continuous inclement weather they seem to need a few days' sunshine ; to strengthen their growth. ■ ]
