"THE MAGNIFICENT MEDDLER." Tn "The Magnificent Meddler," a rattling story of the exploits of a bold and brilliant reform journalist in the "Wild and Woolly West," Everybody's Theatre has again secured a photoplay that is a "sure draw." Antonio Moreno, who scored such a great success- as "Aladdin of Broadway," in the title role, and, as the enterprising young journalist hero, he has a part absolutely to his liking. In his paper, the "Horizon Sentinel," he stigmatises Iko Murphv the "bad man" of the town and a noted "gunman," as a braggart and a bully; and makes good his words by knocking out Ike after four or five very lively rounds, in the course of which the office furniture suffers no little damage. . He exposes the "boss" of the town as a "grafter," receiving the greater part of the profits of the low down dancing saloons and gambling 'hells of the town, and incidentally makes love to the "boss's" daughter, though hot knowing her as such and she not knowing him as the editor who is attacking her father. Headed by the "boss" the boys raid the "Sentinel" office, smash up the whole place and finally set it on fire. But the young journalist escapes, to discover, just in time, that his sweetheart has been earried off by a gang of Mexican desperadoes; and, after a series of thrilling, adventures, he finally rescues her, restores her to her home and "all's well that ends well." Miss Mary Anderson, beautiful, charming, and a most daring horsewoman, makes an ideal "Wild West" heroine, and the cast as a whole is a very strong one. There is also au equally good Fox feature, on the programme, entitled "The Battle of Life," starring a charming actress in the person of Gladys Coburn. To-night will be the final screening of this programme, which to quote a, regular patron, is a "hummer."
