AMERICAN VESSELS. FOR ITALIAN SERVICE. New York, Nov. 7. Advice from France states that twd morje merchantmen have been turned over to Italy, whose shipping needs take precedence of that of France. AMERICAN ARMORED YACHT SCNK, Washington, Nov. 7. Washington official: The armored yacht Alcedo was torpedoed and sunk in the war zone on November 6. An officer and 20 men are missing. It is feared they have been drowned. NORWEGIAN VESSELS SUNK. Ghristiania, Nov. 7. The Norwegian steamers Gimle arid Lym have been submarined. The crews were rescued.
