A letter has been received by the Minister for Internal Affair* from Mrs. M. Averill, president of the' Mothers' Union of the Auckland- diocese, warmly commending the terms of the bill in regard to venereal diseases recently passed through Parliament, and urging that local advisory boards should bo set up as soon as possible. The idea of issuing health certificates to men and women before marriage was strongly supported, and it was urged that literature dealing with such diseaies should be supplied to all organisations of women and teachers throughout the Dominion. It may be mentioned that now that the bill has been passed into law the regulation authorised will be immediately brought into operation and the facilities for free treatment will be notified by posters at all post offices and railway stations. The Hon. G. W. Russell stated yeserday that the measure will be administered with energy, in the hope that something *ffective will be done to rid the eountrv of a dread plague Ask distinctly for SANDER'S EUCALYPTI EXTRACT, or else you mav receive one of the many substitutes.
