TARANAKI EMPLOYERS' ASSOCIATION.

The adjourned annual meeting of the | Taranaki Employers' Association wub held in the Masonic Hall on Wednesday night. The president, W. I*. Brooking, presided over a fair attendance. The president's report (already published) and statement of income and expenditure and balance sheet were adopted. This showed that the income for the year amounted to £3OB "s b'il, tad expenditure £325 5s Sd, an excess of expenditure over receipts of £l6 18s 2d. Assets exceeded liabilities by £9B Is. Officers were elected as follows:—President W. F. Brooking (re-elected) : vicepresident, W. C. Weston (re-elected); trustee, C. E. Baker (re-elected); executive, F. S. Johns, F. W. Okey, E. May, S. Shaw, T. S. Young. W. P. Nicol, J. C. Morey, C. E. Baker, J. W. Hay den,' H. Goodncre, P. White, H. J. Wells, and C. Carter; hon. auditor, O. N. Firth (reelected). Mr. H. Goodaere was re-elected as the Association's representative on the advisory committee of the Technical College The president, who had recently attended the annual conference of the Employers' Associations held in Wellington, delivered an interesting address on the questions dealt with at the conference. He was accorded a vote of thanks.
