NEW PROGRAMME AT EVERYBODY'S A complete change of programme will lie screened at Everybody's this evening and according to the'management's advertisement it i s sufficient attraction to interest the public even in the present , dull times. There are two extra Rttractions, one by the Greater Vitagraph entitled "The' Magnificent Meddler." star-" ring Antonio Moreno and Mary Anderson, and a William Fox feature, "The. Battle of Life" in which Clayds Coburn gives -it realistic portrayal of the temptations which beset the path of a woman through life. "The Magnificent Meddler" gives Antonio Moreno the chance of his picture career. He portrays a young newspaper reporter who acquires the great daily known as the "Horizon Sentinel." Mary Anderson, as the heroine, is dainty and demure. She is the daughter of the local "boss," who' rules The town through fraud and corruption, but eventually has to surrender to his daughter before the resistless, cheerful energy of the new editor. Th e story abounds in sensational episodes, and the hero's devices for overcoming the forces which are astride the town are ingenious and daring. This programme will be on view to-night and to-morrow night only. "SECRET.OF THE SUBMARINE" AT THE EMPIRE TO-NIGHT. The fifth episode of the exciting serial success "The Secret of the Submarine" will he |ne of tiic attractions on the change of programme showing at the Empire to-night. The others include the third series of the "Rex Beach Travel" pictures and a tip-top Metro photo-play ''The Millionaire's Double" in which i Lionel Barrynidre is east in the leading role. Methods of modern "society" crooks ara exposed in this picture, and the story portrays the methods of master criminals who keep careful watch over, the movements, disappearances and .deaths of wealthy persons for the purposes of presenting fake claimants for their property. In this photoplay the schemes are frustrated by a series of absorbing scenes, having both dramatic power- and comedy interest. Nothing better has been done than the unique situation in which the millionaire returns, impersonates himself, makes love to his "widow" and gets his own money. This programme will be screened for a three night season with a matinee on Saturday afternoon.
