RUSSIA.

i KERENSKY'S STATEMENT NOT IMPORTANT. RUSSIANS NOT DESERTING ALLIES. Betrograd, Nov. ? 31. Kcrensky is reported to have said that Russia entered the war early, and is now worn out by the strain. Russia claimed .that the other Allies ought to shoulder the burden of the war. Reuter Service. Received Nov. 4, 5.5 p.m Washington, Nov. 3. Mr. Lansing, in an authorised statement, deplored any interpretation of the Kerenaky interview that Russia was out of the war permanently. In Allied diplomatic circles the Kerensky statement Is not regarded as tremendously important, because it merely sets down what everyone knew Was the condition. There was no ground for believing that the Russians were deserting the Entente, but were rather trying manfully to solve their own problems.

KERENSKY'S PESSIMISM.

LAWLESS AGITATORS FOMENTING RISINGS. WIDESPREAD PREPARATIONS. Times Service. Received Nov. 4, 5.5 p.m. London, Oct. 3. 'Petrograd messages indicate that M. Kercnsky's pessimism is due to the failure of the preliminary parliament to obtain a majority on five resolutions relating to national defence. Lenin has reappeared, and he and the Maximalists are again most active in fomenting risings at Petrograd, aiming at the seizure of supreme power. The press uneasily discusses the widespread preparations. Even M. Gorky's paper denounces them as irreligious and lawless agitators, who are likely to precipitate a civil war and drown the revolution in blood.

MORE FRATERNISING. A SUCCESSFUL RAID. Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc, and Reuter. Received Nov. 4, 5.5 p.m. London, Nov. 3. Wireless Russian official: Our soldiers fraternised with the enemy in the Vishonff Lake sector. We successfully raided northward of Husiatyn.

WILLADfiERE TO ALLIES. Washington, Not. 2. The Russian Embassv gtates that Russia will adhere to the Allies and will not tonclude a separate peace. Mr. Lansing, commenting on the Russian rumors, says: Any statement that Russia, will quit the war is entirely -unfounded."
