THE NATURALISATION QUESTION. London, Nov. 'l. "Sir G, Cave, in the House of Commons, said that the report of the Naturalisation Committee had been, embodied in a Bill, copies of which had been sent to the Dominions for their opinion, as the Dominions were directly interested. The Government will deal with the subject at the earliest possible moment. WELSH COAL WTS IDLE. Received Nov. 2, 11.40 p.m. London, Nov. 1. Owing to the miners' strike, over 80 per cent, of the Welsh pits are idle. The examiners refused the owners' conditional iffer to recognise the Examiners' Union. Early returns of the miners' ballot in South Wales indicate an overwhelming majority against strike over the combing4tJ proposals.
