GISBORNE GASWORKS.
ANOTHER ARREST. By Telegraph.—'Press Association. Gisborne, Last Night. As a further sequel to the recent gasworks five, John Sheriff Dods, clerk at the gasworks, was arrested by Detective McLeod to-day, and brought before the magistrate, charged with arson and thefts of various sums belonging to the company. McLeod, in applying for a remand, said Dods had confessed to misappropriation of altogether a very large sum of money. A remand till Friday week was granted, bail being fixed at self £SOO and two sureties of £SOO each. Frank Parnell, on remand for arson at the gasworks, appears at the court tomorrow, when a .further remand will be asked for.
