" JUSTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council held on the 29t)> day of October, 191", a resolution was passed: "That in pursuance of the powers contained in sub-section (1) of section 153 and section 181 of The Municipal • Corporatins Act, 190S, and in pursuance of all other acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling the New Plymouth Borough Council by way of Special Order doth hereby name and alter the name of each street within the Borough of New Plymouth hereinafter mentioned, that is to say: 'Victoria Road' and 'Carrington Road' from 'Victoria Road' to the Southern Boundary of the New •Plymouth Borough hereby altered to and named 'Carrington Road.' 'Carrington Road' from its intersection with Gilbert Street to Holdsworthy Road hereby altered to and named 'Victoria Road.' 'Wilson Street' and 'Paynter's Lane' hereby altered to and named 'Paynter's Lane.' And Notice is hereby also given that the said resolution will be submitted to a special meeting of the said Council to be held in the Municipal Offices, Liardet Street, New Plymouth, on Monday, the 2Gth day of November, 1917, at 7.30 p.m. for confirmation as a Special Order.
