■ CHRISTCHUROH CASES. By Association. Christchurcli, Oc,t. 29. The Supreme Court criminal sessions have opened. Ernest Bush pleaded guilty to six charges of theft from his employer at Ashburton and was sentenced to a year's imprisonment on each charge, to run concurrently. In the Supreme Court, Stanlev Jones, found guilty or arson of Uiree haystacks, was detained for reformative treatment for five years; William John Percy, clerk to Mount Hutt Road Board, on two charges of fraudulently converting money, was admitted to probation for two years.
