The Peninsular and Oriental Steamship Company has purchased tlir Hain Siuamship Company's fleet, comprising 27 cargo boats, aggregating 108,757 tons, paying almost £4,000,000. (In 1910 the Hain Company stood 29th on the list of British companies, with an average tonnage of 3,782.)
