Tn connection with the precautions for safeguarding shipping, all passengers and luggage embarking now are subjected to inspection. SHIPPING TROUBLE ENDED. Received Oct. 20, 9 p.m. Melbourne, Oct. 2(7. It was announced to-day that the shipping strike concerning the oversea vessel had terminated. The stevedores decided to resume immediately. A general resumption is expected on Monday, THEORY OF MATUNGA'S LOSS CONFIRMED. Received Oct. 2fi, 0.15 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 20. The wreckage brought to Sydney from the Islands has been identified as part of the missing steamer Matunga. It confirms the theory that the vessel was lost with all hands, it is believed as the result of a submarine disturbance.
