A committee ha? been advised that it is quite probable ffiat oil exists' in parts of this country, but, being liquid, it moves under the surface, and therefore it is not easy, of location. The report that a valuable petroleum Held has been discovered in the United Kingdom will explain Mr. Walter Long s Bill. The object is to prevent wild-cat schemes of exploitation and the waste of oil by unscientific methods of development.
